Located on Plumb Lane and Virginia Streets this new city center will be constructed as a hub that embodies a live-work lifestyle. This means people will have access to almost everything they need within the community’s barriers.
The Park Lane master plans will provide 1,700 residential units, a one-acre park, 50,000 square feet of retail space, a hotel with 160 rooms and a food hall.
Developers are hoping this park will act as a gateway to the city, located right near Midtown, the Convention Center and casinos. It’ll also represent a revitalization of the city through different influences of art, culture and food.
The community will provide amenities such as pools, fitness centers, shopping and more.
The residential units as well as pedestrian/bike friendly environments will cater to all the millennials coming into the city, according to Chip Bowlby the President and CEO of Reno Land Inc.
The high-tech units will be on the smaller side, about 400-1000 square feet. Developers are expecting people part of this community to spend more time in the communal areas than in their apartments.
Extensive construction of the backbone infrastructure and site preparation has been underway for the past 18 months. Construction of the buildings should begin at the start of 2019 and should take about three to five years.
Reno, NEV. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Park Lane, is a 46-acre, master-planned community that will be built on the same plot of land as the historic Park Lane Shopping Mall. Since it was demolished about 10 years ago this space has been completely empty.
