The developers behind the purchase of 104 acres of university farmland unveiled their concept for the site — an industrial and retail park that will be called “The Park at McCarran.”
Developer Reno Land and partner Dermody Properties shared their plans with the Reno Gazette Journal, which includes 1.13 million total square feet of industrial space spread across five buildings that will cover about 60 acres of the property. Seven acres of the site also will be set aside for a retail center.
The project was described as a rare chance to develop one of the largest undeveloped parcels remaining within the Reno-Tahoe International Airport submarket. The land had been used by the University of Nevada, Reno since 1956 for teaching and research.
