RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A groundbreaking has been announced for Friday to commemorate the start of construction of the new development on the Park Lane Mall site in Reno.
The 46-acre site at Plumb Lane and S. Virginia Street has long sat vacant, but Reno Land Inc. recently purchased the property, announcing it would building commercial and residential properties.
A website, called parklanelife.com, has also been launched to showcase future amenities.
Gov. Brian Sandoval and Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto are scheduled to take part in Friday’s groundbreaking.
A member of Reno Land Inc. told News 4-Fox 11 the sign and clock that was part of the old Park Lane Mall will be featured during the ceremony.
