RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A groundbreaking celebrated the beginning of construction on the new development to take the place of the former Park Lane Mall in Reno.
The 46-acre site at Plumb Lane and S. Virginia Street has long sat vacant, but Reno Land Inc. recently purchased the property, announcing it would building commercial and residential properties.
Gov. Brian Sandoval and Mayor Hillary Schieve took part in Friday’s ceremony with other business leaders.
The iconic Park Lane sign and clock were also used in the event, which showcased future amenities that will be part of the development.
